Heather Markus was born with Spina Bifida. She also had a hole in her back which is not closed, but will need further work later in her life. She has a shunt in her head to help her brain drain, without it she would not have lived through the first 32 hours. She will also need eight surgeries on her legs to help her walk. She has to make many trips to the Children's Hospital a year. Heather's dream is to sing and be on the radio. Heather is joined by her mom Patty Markus in this montage. Their story is set to Martina McBride's In My Daughter's Eyes. |
